a little something about me? well, i love to make things. it's my creative outlet and it makes me happy. usually. sometimes when i'm in the middle of something mundane or frustrating-- like pinning on that 768th sequin or struggling with a project that should work... but isn't, or that time i screwed up my blog by messing around with html-- not always so happy. but i do like a challenge. when it comes to dreaming up new ideas and tweaking something "old-fashioned" into something new and modern. i'm that gal!
lets see... what else. although i sometimes desire them, i'm deathly afraid of power tools. they are my krytonite. okay, maybe not. but i keep a healthy distance from them because i am prone to freak accidents. like that 2nd degree burn on my right hand? a run-in with a hot water dispenser in the middle of the ocean... er, on a cruise. me being wounded by a machine that makes hot water was not on my radar people! now i have a healthy respect for them. and by the way, lots of paperwork to fill out when you are injured on a cruise. lots. thankfully the scar is slowly fading. there goes my future hand modeling career though. my other freak accident? well it involves a tempered glass butter dish, my refrigerator and my left foot. they collided in a horrible sort of way and at the end there was a visit to the emergency room, a 5 inch scar on my foot, a cast and crutches... and my mom had to live with us for 2 months because i just had baby #2. gasp! so no power tools for me. i need all of my appendages!

what makes me different than other diy-ers? you mean besides not liking power tools? i also don't care for spray paint. i like the idea of it. but unfortunately no real love for gassed-up paint. one day, maybe we will be friends. maybe.
