This weekend we celebrated Smarty Pant's 3rd birthday with a trip to the Aquarium and a Race Car Party. He had an absolute blast--All of his favorite people PLUS the addition of cars EQUALS one happy little boy!
Grandpa and Grandma Tee were gracious enough to host the party and they went over and beyond the call of duty-- They helped assemble party favors, decorate, cook... My boys are so lucky to have such devoted grandparents!
Here's a recap of our special Race Car Party.

Alas, the Cake... It was a bit of a disappointment-- not quite cake wrecks worthy, but definitely not as pictured. Apparently even our camera was disappointed because None of the pictures of the cake came out! I'll have to ask around and see if anyone got a decent shot. It did taste yummy though... I ♥ chocolate dobash!
So it was a successful birthday party-- Smarty Pants is still talking about his party and mommy is officially pooped out! Can't rest yet though... still need to make cake pops and cupcakes for his preschool class... maybe after I take a nap!

Love the car box idea!
ReplyDeleteso are the box cars hollow for them to get inside?
ReplyDeleteYes, I removed the top and bottom "flaps" on the box. They are diaper and file boxes, so just the right size for the kids to easily climb in and run around.
DeleteLove the invites! What size were they? Was is done on cut down construction paper?
ReplyDeleteI was trying to find the original invite to measure it... but it's been misplaced! I know that I cut it to fit a #10 envelope... so roughly 4" x 9.25" or probably a little smaller.
