[Oh Christmas Tree Series] Pearl Tree

Part 2 of 4
When I started thinking of materials to create my decorative trees, pearls immediately came to mind. Pearls are elegant, catch the light in just the right way, and are the perfect compliment to my original ruffled felt tree.  Plus, when you stack up many different sizes of pearls, it's eye-catching!

Supplies Needed:
12-inch styrofoam cone
hot glue gun & glue sticks
@65 16mm pearls
@ 500 assorted 4-12 mm pearls
(i purchased the large economy-sized bags at joanns)

i started by glueing the large 16mm pearls randomly around the cone...

then filled in the rest of the space with the smaller pearls-- 4mm, 8mm, 12mm
since the cone has a flat top, i used a 16mm pearl for the top, then built up around it so that it would have a nice christmas tree point.

elegant and i love how the pearls capture the light.

More holiday pretties coming up!
